Paul Purcell - Director

Paul Purcell is a strategist with more than 15 years of experience spanning public policy, economics, media and communications, and politics. He built his career in Australia’s media, energy and infrastructure sectors — complex, tightly regulated environments where policy development, media and stakeholder engagement must work together as one.

Paul combines policy and economic understanding with the practical tools of advocacy and communication to deliver real outcomes. He previously held senior roles in national media organisations and has advised CEOs, government leaders and industry associations on navigating complex challenges. His work brings together strategy, policy and community into cohesive, holistic approaches that achieve real results.

Mountain Ash Advisory reflects that same approach, designing and executing holistic strategies that thrive in ambiguity — turning risk and uncertainty into opportunity. Paul studied at the University of Melbourne, focussing on strategy and economics, earning a Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence.

He is based in Melbourne with his dog, Archie.
